To ensure the element of surprise and accessibility for Santa, it is recommended:
- Santa is provided with a point of contact and cell phone number of someone at the event.
- Santa is provided with a special parking spot nearest to the entrance of the building, though this must be balanced with maintaining surprise.
- If Santa is bringing toys, please have someone to assist with the order and placement of the gifts into Santa’s sack.
- Santa needs to know if a loud entrance is okay or if a quieter beginning is preferred. Santa appreciates singing of Christmas Carols or music to celebrate his presence.
- Have Santa sit in a chair that will serve as his place for:
- Listening to Christmas wishes
- Distributing any gifts
- Photography opportunities
- Please Remember to allow space behind Santa’s chair for any group photos.
- As Santa is leaving, it is preferred that all children are together to sing “We Wish You a Merry Christmas” to say for Santa’s to return to the North Pole.

A ‘Real Bearded” Santa is a gentleman who possesses a real beard.
He is not wearing a man-made designer beard of synthetic, animal, or human hair.
Real bearded Santas spend months and even years growing and maintaining their beards.
Often they carry the persona of Santa 24/7/365. Kettle Moraine Santa is a member in good standing of the International Brotherhood of Real Bearded Santas. Really, that’s a thing.

Kettle Moraine Santa has two primary outfits. One a traditional velvet and fur Santa Suit with black boots and belt. The other is a more regal costume with vest and robe. All of this is to continue the magic and mystery that is Santa Claus. Have a look at the gallery to see both costumes

Cancellations are very rare as the experience is highly treasured and anticipated. However, unforeseen circumstances occur. Hopefully the visit can be transferred to another date in the same holiday season if a time slot is available. If not, no fee will be charged.
Santa understands that every party is unique and special to the needs of the client, family and guests. Santa is booked at many events throughout the season and often two to five consecutive events per day, especially on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Often it is difficult to make changes after the initial booking is made, as Santa, like a doctor, has filled in all of his appointments. Because of this, special requests or changes made after confirmation, are at the client’s cost, and must be made in advance when possible.
Payments can be made by check, money order or cash either at the event or ahead of time..
For some larger/longer events a retainer equal to 50% of the total event fee is required, with the balance due at the event.
Due to the many concerns in our society today, and for the safety and peace of mind of clients, Kettle Moraine Santa has an annual criminal background check prior to appearing at any public event. Clients may request a copy of the certificate.
Santa carries a professional entertainers liability policy. A copy of the entertainer’s insurance certificate can be requested. In certain corporate bookings the client can be added to the policy, usually at no additional cost.
As it is very difficult to hide Santa. For most events or parties, Santa will call when he is about five to ten minutes away. Someone from your event should plan to meet Santa and guide him to the appearance location.
For events where Santa is getting dressed on premises, Santa will arrive 1 hour prior to the event and will be provided a private dressing area with mirror and access to a rest room. When it is time for the event Santa will be escorted from the dressing area to the event by a staff member.
Prior to home visits Santa will send you a questions about the children in the home so he will “know” the children before their arrival lending authenticity to the visit.
For larger home visits, Santa will enter on cue with toy bag and any selected special activities in hand. A couple Christmas songs are a good way to focus the group. Santa will bring a short story book or two. He will visit with each child as well as sit for individual and family photos. You may also decide on any gifts to be loaded into his toy bag to be handed out by Santa. Larger gifts will require a helper at the location.
Due to the nature of our traditional outfits, it is necessary that Santa have periodic breaks and that their performance location be cool and comfortable, we recommend 68 degrees. If outdoors or in a warm environment, appropriate breaks may be necessary as per health and safety needs. It is assumed that all events will be indoors, or that arrangements have been made if the event is held outdoors and weather becomes an issue, and therefore cancellations due to inclement weather are not accepted.
For corporate or promotional events, Santa is available for Tree-Lightings, Media events, Special photo/video opportunities, walk-abouts, etc.
